David Suvall, Director of Business Development, Board Member

David Suvall joined Gideon Strategic Partners as a Director of Business Development and Member of the Board in February 2022 to help source, identify and execute key business development opportunities such as deal origination, capital raising, and third-party manager selection, as well as advise on a variety of corporate and strategic initiatives. Mr. Suvall spent 5 years at BlackRock, first in its Special Opportunities Group, and later in its Leveraged Finance and Securitized Assets Groups, where he was responsible for business development, investment strategy, capital raising, and execution of alternative investment strategies. Mr. Suvall subsequently left BlackRock to pursue his MBA from The Wharton School.

In 2017, Mr. Suvall joined Sunrun Inc., the nation’s largest distributed solar and grid services provider nationally as a Senior Manager on the Strategy, Growth and Corporate Initiatives Team. In this capacity, he played an instrumental role in shaping the growth trajectory of the firm, overseeing key strategic initiatives, including new market expansions, product development, supply-chain optimization, project finance and a variety of synergistic corporate investments. In 2019, Mr. Suvall joined Sunrun's Business Development Team, spearheading a variety of profitability-enhancing initiatives including structuring large grid service contracts, evaluating and executing M&A transactions as well as a variety of co-marketing deals and joint-ventures.

Mr. Suvall graduated summa cum laude from the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business where he double majored in Finance and Management & Organizations. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he double majored in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.
