Robert Amoruso is the Founder and CEO of Gideon Strategic Partners, a boutique investment advisory firm headquartered in Century City, Los Angeles, with offices in Midtown Manhattan and Baltimore, Maryland. Since its inception in 2012 and independence in 2016, Gideon has grown under Robert’s leadership to manage over $1 billion in client assets, offering sophisticated financial planning, investment management, and tax-efficient strategies tailored to the unique needs of high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and executives.

Robert’s vision for Gideon is rooted in disrupting the wealth management industry by blending cutting-edge technology with personalized service. The firm delivers customized financial solutions and exclusive access to registered and non-registered investments, with a particular focus on tax-efficient alternative investments.

As a thought leader in the financial services space, Robert is a public speaker on topics such as alternative investments, tax structuring, estate planning, and wealth preservation strategies. He frequently shares his expertise at industry events and conferences, helping to demystify complex financial concepts for clients and peers alike.

Robert began his career at Van Eck Global in 2007 before joining AXA in 2008, where he quickly rose to become Regional Vice President, building and leading the company’s largest and top-producing U.S. team. He earned multiple accolades during his tenure, including Circle of Excellence, Summit, and Hallmark I awards, as well as membership in the Elite Producer Group and Million Dollar Round Table.

He graduated summa cum laude from Johnson & Wales University with degrees in finance and entrepreneurship. Robert has also completed the Retirement Planning Specialist Certificate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Alternative Investments Certification at Harvard Business School, covering private equity, private debt, real estate, secondaries, and venture capital investments. He holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation and maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as life, accident, and health insurance licenses.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert is deeply committed to philanthropy and serves as the Corporate Walk Chair for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light the Night Los Angeles event. This role reflects his personal mission to support cancer research, particularly in memory of his mother, who passed away from ovarian cancer. Robert also champions other charitable causes through sponsorships, events, and community involvement.

Robert resides in Pacific Palisades with his wife, Lainie, a food influencer who shares his love for travel, and their son Luca, with another child on the way. As a family, they enjoy exploring the world and creating lasting memories.

In his free time, Robert loves reading, fitness, and music, and he prioritizes spending time with family and close friends. He also enjoys mentoring others and fostering meaningful relationships within his community.
